Measuring grid SGI

 

 

The measuring grid is a primary element for speed measurement similar to the known Pitot tube according to Prandtl.

Due to the special design, the probe grid has a constant, within wide limits of the Reynolds number independent coefficient C = 2, i. at a certain speed it gives off twice as much dynamic pressure as the Prandtl pitot tube.

The probe grid SGI is an arrangement of several cylinder probes distributed over a cross-section so that even with different flow distribution in a pipeline or in a channel a mean flow can be determined.

The probe grid is adapted to the respective pipe or channel dimensions.

It can be made for round or square channel cross sections. Larger nominal diameters usually require an abutment.
