Cylinder pitot tube MBZ

The cylinder probe is a primary element for speed measurement similar to the known Pitot tube according to Prandtl.

Due to the special design, the cylinder probe has a constant, within wide limits of the Reynolds number independent coefficient C = 2, i. at a certain speed it gives off twice as much dynamic pressure as the Prandtl pitot tube.

For use with unknown velocity distribution in the pipeline, we recommend the use of a probe grid.
